Complete Kitchen & Living Space Renovation
Mazon Interiors recently completed a substantial renovation at Leamington Spa, bringing together kitchen design, flooring, decorating, electrical works, plumbing and finishing details within one coordinated project.
The aim was to create a contemporary new kitchen and living space that felt considered as a whole, rather than treating each element of the renovation separately.
The Brief
The existing kitchen was completely removed to make way for a new design, but the project extended far beyond replacing cabinetry.
The property required flooring and subfloor works, repairs around the existing fireplace, plastering and decorating, new lighting and electrics, plumbing alterations and new radiators.
Our role was to bring these different elements together, managing the project from the initial strip-out through to the final finishes.
Our Solution
At the centre of the project is a new German kitchen, designed around a large island and a combination of warm neutral cabinetry, contrasting darker finishes and oak details.
The kitchen was paired with 20mm Dekton Danae worktops, including a 50mm mitred waterfall edge to the island, alongside an integrated NEFF appliance suite, flush ceiling extractor and a patinated brass Quooker tap.
Storage was carefully considered throughout, with bespoke internal solutions, integrated drawers and additional cabinetry designed specifically around the clients' requirements. The original design presentation shows how the cabinetry, worktops, appliances and flooring were planned together from the outset.
Beyond the kitchen, our team coordinated:
Plastering, decorating and bespoke MDF skirting
Repairs to rotten joists and hearth brickwork around the fireplace
New recessed lighting, sockets and antique brass electrical details
Plumbing alterations and new column radiators with antique brass valves
Upgraded Wi-Fi infrastructure
Bespoke wool rugs for the adjoining living spaces
The Flooring
Flooring was a significant part of the renovation and was delivered by Mazon Flooring, bringing both sides of the Mazon business together on the project.
Following removal of the existing floor, the subfloor required extensive preparation, including replacement where necessary, a damp-proof membrane and smoothing compound.
Amtico Signature Ilmington Stone LVT was then installed throughout. Its large stone-effect format was chosen to complement the soft kitchen palette and Dekton surfaces while providing a practical floor for an everyday living space.
Repairs were also completed to the step leading into the lounge to create a considered transition between the spaces.
The Result
This project is a great example of what can be achieved when every part of a renovation is considered together.
The new kitchen, stone-effect flooring, lighting, heating and finishing details now feel like one cohesive interior, while the combination of neutral finishes, oak and antique brass brings warmth and character back into the space.
Most importantly, the clients didn't have to coordinate a separate kitchen company, flooring contractor and multiple individual trades themselves.
Mazon Interiors managed the wider renovation, with Mazon Flooring delivering the specialist flooring works.
